Titanfall 2’s multiplayer will be shown at Gamescom

“The idea there is to get people moving their skill much quicker so that you get more interesting or challenging matches”.

Skill is also being addressed; “We aren’t just using wins and losses to determine your skill level in Titanfall 2”, Kalas said.

Matchmaking has been the latest feature the development team have been talking about, recently confirming that after every match, players will drop into their Network, be able to change loadouts at any time, review your match performance and stats, and get ready for the next game. In a blog post to accompnay the video, Kalas said they have built a new matchmaking system this time to address issues that they felt weren;t properly addressed the first time. “We’re looking at your overall contribution to the match”. On Titanfall 2, all of the maps will be free.

Respawn has already committed to running fast servers with low latency, employing UK-based hosting company Multiplay, to help ensure quality. The event will take place in Cologne, Germany, where it usually does. “The whole idea for the tech test is to make sure the simulator is doing what it should”, he explained to Slothy.

Titanfall 2 is a highly anticipated sequel for fans of the original.
