TLC specials to focus on Duggar daughters Jill and Jessa
The Duggar family will be back on air but the spotlight will be more about daughters Jill and Jessa in a TLC special, but viewers could not expect to see Josh again.

Jessa Seewald and Jill Dillard will star in two or three new specials on the cable network, the former home of their family’s cancelled reality series 19 Kids and Counting, The Hollywood Reporter notes.
Production begins soon on the programs, announced Thursday, with an anticipated airdate by year-end for at least the first of them. I pointed out that Josh doesn’t have much of a shot seeing as how he’s publicly admitted to molesting five girls, four of which were his sisters who are nearly sure to be called to testify in the civil suit (and would have to since they lose fifth amendment rights since the statute of limitations is up).
TLC apparently decided to make lemonade out of this batch of lemons by creating a whole new show following Jill as she prepares to become a missionary and Jessa as she returns to the rest of the Duggar clan.
Sources said that the 27-year-old will not be appearing on any future TLC programming.
“We know that our audience is really excited about what’s been going on with Jill and Jessa as they move into young adulthood”, said Daniels. “With what was happening in their lives in the next few months, it felt like now is the time (for the specials), and we got going pretty quickly”. Both women participated in that film, titled “Breaking the Silence“.
News, fans can rejoice as they will be seeing all the celebration and drama unfold as Jessa prepares to welcome her bundle of joy into the world, and Jill moves to South America with husband Derick Dillard and baby Israel.

These new TV specials will shed more light on the recent changes in the siblings’ lives, although older brother Josh Duggar will not make an appearance in their specials. While the family faced criticism for initially defending Josh Duggar’s abusive behavior, the special seemed to serve as an opportunity for the sisters, as well as other advocates for and experts on the topic, to raise awareness about the broader problem of child molestation.
