TNA Impact Wrestling is heading to Pop!
PWInsider notes that POP TV, the former TV Guide Channel, and WGN America seem to be the leading candidates for the future home of Impact Wrestling.
– Pro Wrestling Sheet reports that TNA’s talent roster was unaware that a deal was signed with Pop TV until it was publicly announced.
“Wrestling has been a fan-fueled staple since the “50s, and continues to be a few of the most-watched appointment television today”.
It is not yet known whether TNA will be buying programming time on the network or if POP TV will pay TNA to air the show. “We’re committed to this new partnership and psyched to bring the show’s loyal fans a dedicated night to watch their favorite show on Pop every week”.
As reported here on Wrestling News World, TNA will bring their weekly Impact Wrestling series to Pop beginning on Tuesday, January 5, 2016 at 9 PM ET/PT. We first brought you the news of TNA’s negotiations with Pop on November 9, 2015 here on Wrestling News World Premium.
The show will cease airing on Destination America at the end of the calendar year.
IMPACT WRESTLING is a strong global brand seen on networks in more than 120 countries around the world and broadcast in 17 languages.
Satin says multiple sources had said a number of people on the TNA roster didn’t find out about the deal until it was already made public earlier this morning. Both would put TNA in more homes than Destination America.

“Pop’s enthusiasm for our partnership and the network’s fan focus is a ideal fit for our company”, said TNA President Dixie Carter in a statement.
