Today’s forecast: Hot, sunny

August 2013 was also warmer with an average monthly high of 84.4 degrees and an average low of 63.9. The front did fire up, but it was further to our east and out of the region. Heading through the afternoon, I’m expecting a mostly sunny sky with highs between 75 and 80.

Tonight should be clear with a low of 65. Tuesday will be a repeat performance of what we were able to enjoy earlier last week: Plenty of sunshine, dry air, and seasonably cool temperatures by day and night.

The National Weather Service Storm Prediction Center has put us in a “MARGINAL ” risk for severe weather.

Today across the Knoxville area, sunny skies are forecast with highs in the lower 80s. Highs will be in the low- to mid-70s. Higher humidity levels often have dew points in the upper 60s and 70s.

Through Sunday night, we’re still humid and warm with isolated showers possible overnight and into the Monday morning commute.

More in the way of very nice weather can be expected through the rest of the week
