Another child has been injured on a roller coaster, making this the fourth theme park accident in the last five days, according to CNN.

“He was talking, he was alert with his family, Ildewild & Soak Zone park spokesman Jeff Croushore said”.
A Westmoreland County emergency dispatcher said the boy was conscious and airlifted to a hospital. The condition of the child, transported by medical helicopter to Children’s Hospital of Pittsburgh, wasn’t immediately released. Officials say regulations did not require seat belts on the 78-year-old wooden coaster.
The rollercoaster has been closed pending an inspection and investigation by the Pennsylvania Department of Agriculture, along with local agencies. It started Sunday, when a 10-year-old riding the “world’s tallest water slide” fell off and was decapitated.
Inspectors said mechanical failure likely caused the accident, the Associated Press reported.
A child has fallen from a roller coaster at a western Pennsylvania amusement park.
Our thoughts are with the young boy’s family during this extremely hard time.
The boy plunged from “the middle section” of the ride, but the distance of his fall was unknown.
A second incident occurred on Monday evening, when three girls fell out of a ferris wheel at a fair in Tennessee. And while the attraction does have a height requirement of 36 inches and mandates that any riders under 48 inches be accompanied by an adult, the little boy was only accompanied by his seven-year-old brother, according to Trib Live.

Earlier this week, a boy in Kansas died after a water slide accident at an amusement park. The older two girls are stable, but the 6-year-old was having seizures and suffered a severe concussion. At this point, we know the ride was most recently inspected by a private certified inspector on August 6, 2016, and that it passed that inspection. He could not confirm the extent of the child’s injuries or his age.
