Tokyo2020 proposes 18 additional events from five sports — Olympic News

The Japan Sports Agency was launched Thursday to coordinate the country’s sports administration ahead of the 2020 Tokyo Olympics and Paralympics, with an Olympic gold medalist serving as its first commissioner.

This package of events represents both traditional and emerging, youth-focused events, all of which are popular both in Japan and internationally.
