Tom Barrack: Trump shouldn’t talk about Weiner
Abedin announced Monday she was separating from her husband, Anthony Weiner, after another sexting incident involving the former NY congressman.

(Okay, that would include me.) That she stayed so long with a husband dumb enough to text photos of his aroused crotch to women around the country, and then do it again, and then, even after he was caught, do it yet again, must say something about her, right? “I know Anthony Weiner well, and she will be far better off without him”, Trump said in a statement.
A day after the New York Post’s revelations, Abedin announced that she was finally ready to leave her husband. “During this hard time, I ask for respect for our privacy”, Abedin said in a statement Monday. But to think that it’s very likely that much of this information Anthony Weiner would know about. Last week, the group Judicial Watch released several previously undisclosed exchanges turned over by Abedin that included a 2009 message she received from Band – a foundation official at the time – seeking a meeting with Hillary Clinton for the crown prince of Bahrain.
But in 2013 another scandal – in which it emerged he had been sexting under the pseudonym of Carlos Danger – derailed his bid to be elected New York City mayor.
Weiner served in Congress, representing his district in New York City from 1999 to 2011.
The political documentary Weiner has been doing the rounds of the global film festivals circuit all year (including sold-out sessions in both Sydney and Melbourne) so there’s been plenty of chatter about one time NY mayoral candidate Anthony Weiner.
Before The New York Post published photos late Sunday that it said Weiner sent past year to a woman identified as a “40-something divorcee”, Abedin was spotted outside a Clinton fundraiser at the Southampton home of philanthropist Marcia Riklis.
Asked for comment, Weiner said in the report that he and the woman “have been friends for some time”.
A source close to Abedin confirmed to ABC News that she and Weiner have been separated but living together for some time. More recently, it has taken to suggesting Abedin is spying for Saudi Arabia and working to spread sharia law.
This latest sexual scandal with ties to the Clinton campaign makes you question: If these women are not respecting themselves, why should we respect them?
She added: “Clinton is now in the final stretch of her campaign”. Former President Bill Clinton officiated when Abedin and Weiner married in 2010.
Abedin, who has been referred to as Clinton’s “second daughter”, is the gatekeeper to the nominee. “It is possible that our country and its security have been greatly compromised by this”, he said in the statement. The story for the magazine’s high-profile September issue, which Abedin agreed to be interviewed for, came at a time when others in the campaign already wanted less attention on her, not more.

As The Washington Post noted, Abedin was indeed listed as an assistant editor from 1996 to 2008 for an academic journal called the Journal of Muslim Minority Affairs, which was founded by her late father and edited by her mother.
