As well as her groups stealing the thunder of Nick Grimshaw’s lackluster boys, Sunday night’s instalment of The X Factor saw Cheryl Fernandez-Versini get her spark back.
“I just don’t know if I felt vocally ready to take on the competition and the pressure”, he said.
Bleasby went on to explain that he was still singing in his bedroom in March and found live performances hard.
“I think you need a few help in terms of the music you should be singing, but I am thrilled you have chosen this show, this country to compete in”.
Hoping to secure a chair was another girl group, Monday Amie, who sang an interesting version of Britney’s Spears’ Hit Me Baby One More Time.
The 25-year-old receptionist and part-time singer from Coventry impressed the judges with his emotional rendition of Kodaline’s All I Want, and received a standing ovation from Simon.
This means the contestant will not appear on the Judges’ Houses episodes of the talent show. The 19 year old from Leeds had originally lost his place on Nick Grimshaw’s team, but the mentor changed his mind after the crowd objected.
Tom has confirmed that he has quit the X Factor [ITV]. Do you think Nick should carry on with a Top 5 (rather than 6) or should someone be brought back to replace Tom, with the risk of being kicked out of the competition just days later AGAIN?
Talking about the future, Tom said: “I’m just going to be exploring different avenues, seeing where I want to take myself musically, maybe try writing a few songs – see what happens”.
In a statement, The X Factor said the 19-year-old singer cited “personal reasons” for his decision to step down.

It’s believed that Tom told producers he wanted to leave the show on Friday.
