Tom Brady Has His Own Super Mature Silent Protest Going This Season

With a four-game suspension for his role in the “Deflategate” scandal beginning in just a few days, Tom Brady had an National Football League going-away party Thursday night, playing the first half in the New England Patriots’ preseason finale against the New York Giants. That will set New England up nicely for another Tom Brady-led stretch run toward the AFC title game and beyond.

Brady did not play in the Patriots’ previous preseason bout due to an incident with scissors.

The NFL shield is on the left rear portion of every helmet in the league.

Was this a one-time thing?

Garoppolo had some struggles as the team’s starter during the preseason, and Brady’s presence seemed to complicate matters as he received some playing time during the final two games. The evidence would suggest this is no mistake.

New England’s quarterback has openly fought Goodell’s decision in court.

The three-time Super Bowl MVP quarterback and future Hall of Famer was reminded by Giants star wide receiver Odell Beckham Jr. about how he failed to deliver what they agreed upon when they were together inside MetLife Stadium last November.

DeflateGate may technically be over, but it doesn’t look like Tom Brady is ready to move on just yet.

Here’s Brady in the pocket, with plenty of shields visible all around him.

The day New England Patriots fans knew was coming finally has arrived.

But still, it is just two games.

The NFL doesn’t take kindly to players doctoring uniforms or helmets. It’s not a huge gesture from Brady, but rest assured, his point will be made.
