Tom Brady helps Celtics try to recruit Kevin Durant
Patriots star quarterback Tom Brady is accompanying Celtics management and several players in The Hamptons to recruit Durant to play in Boston.

An image of Brady accompanying Danny Ainge, Marcus Smart and Kelly Olynyk surfaced on Reddit and social media late Saturday, causing an internet frenzy. If there is anyone who could help convince Kevin Durant of the value of being a superstar in Boston, Brady would be the top choice. Bringing him into the pitch meeting is a power move for the Celtics.
I’ve got no skin in the game other than these people, they treated my family and I like royalty from the day we came here.
While most of the buzz surrounded the 4-time Super Bowl champ’s appearance, Ainge’s choice in footwear may be what deserves credit should the Celtics land Durant.
Maybe that’s why they brought along Tom Brady in the first place.
Durant has already spoken to the Oklahoma City Thunder, with whom he has spent his entire career, the Golden State Warriors and the Los Angeles Clippers. According to multiple reports, the Celtics aren’t taking this lightly.
Whether or not the Celtics were still meeting with Durant at the time of the Horford signing is unknown.
That would give the Celtics huge leverage to be able to talk about the deal on the spot with Durant.

The Miami Heat were the final suitors that Durant met with on Sunday, wrapping up three days of meetings in the Hamptons with six teams.
