Tom Brady, Odell Beckham Jr. Swap Jerseys After Patriots-Giants Preseason Game

The last time the New England Patriots opened a season without Tom Brady under center, few could have imagined what the young quarterback would become. What did we learn from the Giants’ final test before the regular season? The third-year wide receiver found Patriots quarterback Tom Brady, and exchanged jerseys while trying to grab an autograph. “A bit frustrating, but hopefully all our guys can learn from it”, said Tom Brady after the game.

But Belichick still believes Coughlin holds a huge influence over the Giants, who have retained many of Coughlin’s coaches and assistants.

“We’re anxious about the Giants right now, we’re not anxious about opening day yet, so we’ll get there when it comes”, Garoppolo said. That game started just minutes before San Francisco 49ers quarterback Colin Kaepernick again chose to protest the national anthem before the Niners played in San Diego. While Brady must certainly be buoyed to see number 10 without a helmet, it is one last chance for Ryan Nassib. Brady threw for 387 yards and two touchdowns, but he also tossed two costly interceptions. Once again the blocking was an issue, but Nassib also showed the inconsistencies that plagued him.

New England quarterback Tom Brady will return to Ann Arbor this fall to serve at MI football’s honorary captain when they face Colorado on September 17. “But, that’s the way it is”, said Belichick. “I’ve never dealt with it, so we’ll see”. “He did pretty well against us”.

Regarding the Patriots’ next four games, Brady added he’ll “be cheering like hell”, per the Providence Journal’s Mark Daniels.

The game presents a final opportunity for players to secure a roster spot and or improve their standing on the team.

In an historic night, Brady was a flawless 32 of 42 for 356 yards and two touchdowns. He finished 13-21 for 152 yards, but was sacked three times.

King went from the roster bubble to possibly being the team’s fourth receiver in two weeks. He’s set to start serving his four-game Deflategate suspension on Saturday.

For Brady, it will be his second appearance this preseason after missing one week and sitting out another following a sliced thumb injury.

If, indeed, the “priority” of the preseason was to get Garoppolo ready for the start of the season, a mission that Belichick termed a “comprehensive process” in his initial press conference of training camp back in July, then why was the 24-year-old standing around on the sideline a little more than a week before making his prime-time television debut in Arizona with the heavy aura of uncertainty trailing him? Saying he is “Twitched Up” is an understatement.
