Tom Brady plans to attend DeflateGate hearing Wednesday
Tom Brady is not at Patriots practice this morning in West Virginia because he has a court date in New York to get to. It is not know yet if commissioner Roger Goodell, who was in court along with Brady at last Wednesday’s hearing, will also attend.

Even though his downfield passing game has diminished in recent seasons, New England Patriots quarterback Tom Brady has been the pinnacle of excellence.
But according to reports, the star quarterback will be back in Manhattan for the second straight week. On the other hand, the NFL is not tipping its hand either way on who will be attending from their side. It’s unclear if Goodell will attend. Still, an appearance by Brady would reflect positively by Judge Berman as an example of Brady and the NFL Players Association taking the settlement seriously.
A report last week indicated that Wednesday’s hearing may involve testimony from witnesses in addition to oral arguments from both sides.
Brady’s attorneys filed documents on Friday in U.S. District Court, alleging a smear campaign against the two-time NFL MVP and reiterating their claims of unfair treatment by Goodell and the league. Goodell said in his decision to uphold the four-game suspension after hearing Brady’s appeal on June 23 that Brady intentionally destroyed a cell phone on or shortly after being asked for access to the device.
