Rob Gronkowski was unavailable and Tom Brady, for those living under a rock for the past year, was serving the first game in his four-game suspension for Deflategate. “It’s a great way to watch how a lot of the flows of the games are going”.

“I’ve got to make that kick, just a good old-fashioned miss”, he said. “There was no doubt in this locker room that Jimmy could go out there and play”.

ON THE RUN: The Patriots kept Arizona running back David Johnson in check most of the night, except for one big play. Still, Garoppolo didn’t seem to mind the jump to meaningful action.
If you’ve been a fan in Arizona for any matter of time you had to realize things weren’t just going to come easy.
“I wouldn’t say any of those things”, he said. Everybody on this team is confident in him. It’s much more hard to imagine that Garoppolo and McDaniels will be running the Patriots by 2020.
“It was a good feeling, it really was”. He is a guy that can change the complexion of the game in one touch.. And people are talking about the Cardinals being the most explosive offense in the National Football League… we will see. It’s a good start to the season.
“But the real star of this game was Patriots coach Bill Belichick, whose sideline genius makes up for the loss of his two star players”.
That said, the good money says that Garoppolo and Pats offensive coordinator Josh McDaniels will join forces and head to a team like Buffalo next season. In Sunday’s win, the Patriots had some huge third down plays.

Behind backup quarterback Jimmy Garoppolo, the Patriots jumped out to a 10-0 first quarter advantage, and led the Cardinals 10-7 at halftime as Arizona’s offense never found a rhythm in the first half. “They outplayed us and we will learn from it and grow from it and continue.There’s a long way to go and regroup and see if we can win the next one”.
