Tom Brady Praises the ‘Great’ Performance of Jimmy Garoppolo
Arizona Cardinals were the heavy favorites going into this Sunday Night Football game as the Patriots did not have their two best players on the field and everyone expected Arizona to cruise past depleted Patriots squad, but that just wasn’t the case.

“It was a great night for him and for our whole offense”, Brady said on Westwood One Radio during his weekly “Monday Night Football” interview. I think the one thing you realize as the quarterback is everyone being in sync and being on the same page and the communication with your teammates is so critical.
Cardinals GM Steve Keim has no sympathy for his team losing at home against a depleted New England Patriots squad. And Jimmy did everything he was asked to.
Quarterback Jimmy Garoppolo moved the ball incredibly well to open the game, and he even had a 37-yard touchdown pass to wide receiver Chris Hogan – who was wide open on the play – with less than eight minutes into the contest for his first touchdown as a starting QB.
Video on the Patriots’ official website shows Garoppolo smiling as he received the ball, while calling the team together for the traditional team breakdown after victories. They also had a decent game run-blocking as well without some of their best players.
Brady also expounded upon the virtues of watching football on television.
“It was still an enjoyable Sunday nonetheless. on the couch, seeing games from a different perspective”, he said. “It’s a great way to just kind of watch how a lot of the flows of games are going”. “It makes it a lot easier on us when you have good coaches like that”. There’s a lot to learn every week in the NFL. You’ll look at this once and say “Hey, that’s Tom Brady!”. “Coming out here, playing on the road in a tough environment against a really good team”. The offensive line, which paved the way for a very productive running game in the preseason (yes, we know it was only preseason) failed to create a lot of room to run through, although second-year right tackle D.J. Humphries, making his first National Football League start, did receive kudos from general manager Steve Keim. The Patriots were led by a strong performance from quarterback Jimmy Garoppolo, as well as a balanced offensive attack, and a defensive effort which held the Cardinals to just 21 total points.
While the Cardinals’ opening-game loss – and their performance – has caused a panic nationally among those who picked them to play in and win Super Bowl LI, Keim hasn’t levied that type of hype on his own team.
What Palmer said wasn’t exactly the worst thing in the world, but many Patriots fans took it as Palmer throwing shade in Brady’s direction.
“We were obviously not ready to play”, Arians said during his postgame news conference.
Brady has been sticking to his normal routine of working out four or five days a week, he explained. Butler mishandled it initially, but recovered well to get the ball down for Catanzaro, but the timing was off by a split-second and the kick sailed left.
“She’s really concerned about me”, Griffin said.

“No. Not when you’re playing a backup quarterback and they’re missing some playmakers and it’s a game at home”, Keim answered.
