Albro, who heads a group called NY Labor for Sanders, said that in Ulster County, Sanders supporters brought in 5,000 signatures from 200 volunteers “in an area not known for its liberality”.

Sanders, speaking at a televised town hall in Derry, New Hampshire, built on an earlier back-and-forth between the two candidates on Twitter and in appearances in the state, which hosts the next party nominating-contest on February 9.
Hillary Clinton and Bernie Sanders sit down with CNN and a live audience Wednesday evening-here’s how to watch live.
“What have you learned since that vote that could give me confidence that you wouldn’t make a mistake of that magnitude again?” she said.
Sanders’ campaign manager Jeff Weaver mocked Clinton in a statement, asking, “Why does the Clinton campaign object to a debate in New York City?” Sanders, riding his high favorability in a state that borders his stomping ground of Vermont, has a strong advantage, leading Clinton 55% to 37% in the latest CNN Poll of Polls.
While at the University of Chicago in the 1960’s, Sanders said, “I learned more off campus” with the Congress on Racial Equality. One such condition was that they hold a debate in NY; so far, Sanders hasn’t gotten his wish on that.
She also pushed back on charges by Sanders and his allies that she can not be trusted to regulate Wall Street because of the millions in speaking fees she made from the industry before announcing her presidential bid.
“I’ve been an activist for a long time and she’s really inspiring”, Groenewal said of Clinton.
“I come here well aware of the fact that a lot of political pundits have been opining, as political pundits do, that I should have just skipped coming to New Hampshire”, Clinton told the crowd inside here at a Boys & Girls club.
“I think it’s important to know what you’re against, but I want you to know what I’m for”.
“I’m particularly concerned about communities that are being left behind, that haven’t recovered from the loss of industry jobs”, said Clinton.
New Hampshire’s sizable contingent of independent voters – who are allowed to vote in either the Democratic or Republican primaries – will wield considerable power in the 2016 race. But as much as Sanders doesn’t like the Republican’s agenda, the senator said he would delight in taking him on in November.
“I think it’s going to be a tight election”.
“‘We’ll take one term at a time”, he said, adding, “I am, thank God, in good health, and one can’t predict the future…I’ve had good endurance and good strength my whole life”.

“I am not going to say longshot”, Shumaker said of Clinton’s bid in New Hampshire, “but (it) is certainly uphill”.
