Tony Pulis keen to drive through change at West Brom
West Ham manager Slaven Bilic has urged his side to use the anger from their 4-1 defeat to Tottenham in their bid to bounce back against West Brom at Upton Park.

FORMER West Ham United striker Brian Dear believes the Hammers must put last week’s derby disappointments behind them, but acknowledges that West Bromwich Albion will offer a different kind of test to that of Tottenham Hotspur. “Probably one of them will play because we are without our captain Mark Noble”. “It was simply not acceptable and we are going to do everything to bounce back against West Brom”. “We highlighted some areas where it was very clear how we helped Spurs to achieve that win”.
“We were second best in that aspect against Spurs”.
“I thought Sam did smashing at West Ham”.
I’ve watched them away from home, and I know how they play.
Bilic’s start to life at West Ham drew praise from Tony Pulis, but the West Brom boss was also keen to credit the job done by his long-time contemporary and the Croatian’s predecessor Sam Allardyce. “He laid the foundations”, Pulis said.
“In the last three games we have got only one point and that is not what we want”, he told a news conference on Friday.
“We beat Chelsea and drew against Everton in really good Premier League games so our confidence shouldn’t be down whatsoever – not even a little bit”. The Baggies chief refused to name those who are doubtful but Gareth McAuley is available after missing the 2-1 win over Arsenal through suspension.
“We have a home game now and our plan is to try to win”. That chance doesn’t come if you are losing games.
West Ham, who are now sixth in the Barclays Premier League, face struggling West Brom on Sunday.
– Saido Berahino has scored in four of his five appearances against West Ham in all competitions.
65% of the goals West Ham have conceded have come in the first half, the highest proportion in the top division (13 out of 20).
The Hammers are in a poor run of form at present, having failed to win in their last three games.
