Tony Pulis upset over penalty decisions as West Brom beaten by Swansea
Caretaker manager Alan Curtis said Saturday’s win over West Brom at the Liberty Stadium came as a “huge relief” for Swansea City.

The Boxing Day 1-0 win was the Swans’ first since 24 October and only their second in 14 league matches.
In three previous visits, Tony Pulis has not won a game at the Liberty Stadium as a manager, and comes into this with his West Brom side a little wounded from their defeat at home to Bournemouth.
Swansea chairman Huw Jenkins is still searching for a permanent successor to Monk and, while he does so, Curtis is happy to stay at the helm. “He’s made some bad decisions today, what we’ve got to do now is make sure we’re ready for Monday”.
However, they are only three points adrift of the top-10 in 13th position, having lost just three times in their last eight league encounters.
“We had a penalty given against us last week that was outside the box but I thought the lads were fantastic”. The situation we’re in isn’t going to go away unless we put together a string of wins.
Former Wales forward Curtis added: “I think we can play better and we have played better in the last couple of games but we showed a different side to our game”.
With the likes of Bakary Sako and Dwight Gayle (both hamstring) also doubtful, as well as Scott Dann and Damien Delaney (knocks), Pardew acknowledged his squad is looking thin.
“We showed character and worked unbelievable hard”. Berahino will get the start now and his pace could cause some issues for Swansea at the back but I think the biggest obstacle for Swansea will be the tough defence that WEst Brom have with Mcauley and olson being among the best center half partnerships in the league and evans sitting in front as what is really a 5-4-1 formation. We’re pretty thin at the moment but that’s part and parcel of the game.
“We said before, it was about finding a way to win a game”.

There were a number of positive signs for the Welsh club to draw on from their goalless draw at home to West Ham United last weekend as they returned to their principle of taking the game to the opposition and playing neat passing, attacking football.
