Tony Romo throws first touchdown pass in return for Cowboys

The Dolphins would not be out done as they took just three plays to go 54 yards for a touchdown.

The Cowboys (3-7) are 3-0 this season when Romo starts.

BUCCANEERS 45, EAGLES 17: In Philadelphia, Jameis Winston tied a rookie record with five touchdown passes, Doug Martin ran for 235 yards for Tampa Bay. I’m getting better by the week.

Dallas’ defense, which was burdened with short offensive possessions and caved in fourth quarters with Romo out, only faced 41 plays Sunday and didn’t surrender a fourth-quarter point. Their defense, led by Brandon Marshall, Von Miller and DeMarcus Ware (should he return from a back injury) is among the best in the N.F.L., and if Osweiler can find a way to get the ball to Demaryius Thomas, Emmanuel Sanders and Vernon Davis, they know how to get it into the end zone.

Bryant can consistently adjust to slightly off-target throws and make plays against contact, so this type of play from Romo is still hugely valuable.

The long wait for Cowboys fans is over, as they finally got to see Tony Romo and Dez Bryant connect for a touchdown in the 2015 season.

If Romo can dig them out of his hole, it would also silence all those remaining who embarrassingly rip him for being non-clutch. The Dallas Cowboys quarterback is set to return tomorrow against the Miami Dolphins.

Here we go for another spin on the mediocrity merry-go-round. A Zack Martin holding penalty moved the Cowboys back 10 yards and was followed by a 3-yard scramble to close the third quarter.

Romo is back from a broken clavicle suffered during Week 2, and ready to start against the Dolphins Sunday. Perhaps no team has been more perplexing this year than Washington, which has been a dominating mix of pass and run at home and unable to generate any kind of rushing game on the road.

The Dolphins were trying to double-team Bryant, but the alignment combined with the route meant the receiver was put in space.

Throughout the game, though, Romo made enough plays with his legs, instincts and acumen to prove how much of a difference he embodies.

After Tannehill hit Jarvis Landry for a 47-yard strike, he then wrapped up the quick series with a 12-yard connection to tight end Jason Cameron, Miami narrowing the score to 14-7 at the half. “It motivated us. It was just what we needed to hear”.

Cowboys linebackers Rolando McClain and Sean Lee: McClain returned an interception 12 yards for the game’s first score and added three tackles. When Romo is on the field since 2006, the Cowboys are 77-48. It was a touchdown pass that gave the Cowboys a lead they would never relinquish. The completions were spread out among six pass-catchers.
