“Dancing With The Stars” Season 22 officially has a victor, and it’s Nyle DiMarco. The ladies dance to JLo’s “Ain’t Your Mama”, and it is all too short of a routine. The pair beat out UFC fighter Paige VanZant and “Good Morning America” meteorologist Ginger Zee.

The model had been a favourite to win the title since the beginning of the season, managing to land high scores despite the fact he is unable to hear the music.
Nyle DiMarco’s Wild West Quickstep|Nyle and Peta get slightly out of sync.|Nyle DiMarco and his partner Peta Murgatroyd danced a Quickstep to Ray Chew’s cover of “S.O.B”. Ginger earned a 27 out of 30, Nyle a 30 out of 30 for yet another emotional performance, and Paige also a ideal 30. After receiving straight 10s from the judges for his cha-cha/tango fusion dance, judge Carrie Ann Inaba sent him a message with sign language which brought DiMarco to tears. Interspersed with the dancing bits were musical performances by Pitbull, Aloe Blacc, Fifth Harmony, Fleur East, and Dan and Shay.
Dubbed as one of the most keenly fought finals, each finalist had to dance one more time to a routine they learned in just 24 hours.

Ultimately, it seems DiMarco – who also won the final season of America’s Next Top Modellast year – is most satisfied by learning to communicate through this new medium of movement, and what he was able to share with his fans.
Dancing With The Stars, which is the U.S. version of BBC’s Strictly Come Dancing, is set to return in September.
Ginger and Val danced the Argentine tango fused with a foxtrot and scored 27. If the winners were based upon the scores, then Paige and Mark would have been the winning couple.
When Nyle and Peta were announced as the winners, the energy in that ballroom was contagious and electric.

“This is such an awesome feeling”, said Murgatroyd after being crowned.
