After the opening weekend, a handful of players have emerged as fantasy sleepers that need to be considered. Look, I’m not Yeldon’s biggest fan, but Chris Ivory’s injury coupled with a matchup against a shaky Chargers defense, Yeldon should be the benefactor of the Jaguars milking the clock in the second half. Yet, with the former Jet out of the picture, everything was wide open for Yeldon – and he underwhelmed severely. Jordan Matthews and Nelson Agholor looked like legitimate receivers who could help Wentz progress nicely.

Frank Gore- Indianapolis Colts- It may be time to say goodbye to the running back of old if you haven’t already. “Opportunity” is the key word. While the Rams’ defense did look atrocious in Week 1, Wilson is banged up, and that is going to affect him. Two of them were from 50 yards out or more. That’s should instill some confidence in fantasy owners. Yeldon just does enough of everything. He chipped in four catches for 19 yards. Call it normalization. Call it luck.

Emmanuel Sanders (DEN; vs IND): Demaryius Thomas would be an absolute must-start against a horrendous Colts secondary, but he has been dealing with a pretty severe hip issue this week that has me hesitant to play him. Two of them we mention, the Giants and Saints, will likely be chalkier plays across the slate. The second-year pro performed with suspect quarterback play last season, and the 49ers’ front seven is likely better than advertised.

Individuals can create fantasy football leagues through sites such as Yahoo, NFL Network, and ESPN along with many others. A brief caution: These picks are NOT meant to replace the actual starters you drafted.

It’s official: Carr is now relevant in fantasy. New Orleans’ defense was lit up for 35 points by the Oakland Raiders in Week 1 and appears to be no better than it was past year when it ranked near the bottom of the NFL. Considering the Saints were dead-last in defensive DVOA last season by a margin so wide that the differential between them and the 31st-ranked Bears was larger than the gap between Chicago and 14th-ranked Minnesota, it’s understandable to assume that this won’t be an anomaly either. Six grabs for 72 yards isn’t a bad opener, but when you use a first-round pick on Robinson, you want more. The Baltimore Ravens take on the lowly Cleveland Browns in Week 2 in a matchup that’s conducive to fantasy gold.

Freeman has averaged more than four yards per carry just once during his last eight games dating back to previous year. Yes, that was against arguably the best receiver in the game, but this week he gets Julio Jones. Maybe people were scared off by Markus Wheaton (who may or may not return this week, but will play outside when he does) or Sammie Coates (who actually supplied Rogers’s TD last week when the ball ricocheted off him and into Eli’s hands, at which point Coates stalked away without even congratulating his teammate, which never bodes well). And he scored the game-winner on a two-yard run in overtime. That should lead to a lot of targets, and Evans had a big first week against Atlanta.

Bailey kicked four field goals in the Cowboys’ loss to the New York Giants. Cole Beasley had 12. Walkers target share was way below his 2015 average.

Washington Redskins- If Josh Norman is a shutdown corner, he didn’t show it when facing Antonio Brown and the Pittsburgh Steelers. Bryant now has a 48.4% catch rate on the 132 targets he’s received from non-Tony Romo quarterbacks in his career. He caught a single pass for 6 yards in his Saints debut. The fact that he’s available in 11% of ESPN fantasy football leagues is ridiculous.
