Top 3 VMA Performers We’re (Not-So-Secretly) Anxious To See

People are also looking forward to seeing who the host of this big music awards show will be, and for this year, it seems that MTV hasn’t announced someone yet. She might have competition from Adele in several categories including Video of the Year.

The 34-year-old pop princess – who is set to perform at the MTV ceremony for the first time in almost a decade on Sunday, August 28 – opened up about her highly anticipated return during an interview on 103.5 KTU’s Cubby and Carolina In the Morning radio show.

Kanye West will allegedly be able to do whatever he wants on the VMA stage for four minutes, according to TMZ in a report that has been confirmed by Pitchfork.

The 2016 MTV VMAs will take place this Sunday, August 28, at Madison Square Garden in New York City and the performance roster is stacked for both the pre-show and the actual show. Just previous year, West announced he planned to run for president in 2020 during his 11 minute acceptance speech for the Michael Jackson Video Vanguard Award. Also vying for the top prize are Drake (“Hotline Bling”), Kanye West (“Famous”) and Justin Bieber (“Sorry“).

Kanye West has reportedly been told by MTV Video Music Awards (VMAs) bosses that he can do whatever he wants during his performance.

Last year’s VMAs presented fans with a more subtle Kanye. West’s good friend Beyoncé leads this year’s nominations.

Other performers include Britney Spears, Ariana Grande with Nicki Minaj, Future, Nick Jonas and The Chainsmokers.

The “Needed Me” singer will be honored with the Michael Jackson Video Vanguard Award, and she is ready to pull out all of the stops.
