Top aide: Sanders hopes to win nomination at convention
Bernie Sanders picked up a bigger-than-expected win Tuesday in Wisconsin’s primary, casting light on Hillary Clinton’s lingering vulnerabilities with parts of the Democratic coalition while doing little to slow her path to the eventual nomination. In 2008, the state’s Democratic electorate was 87 percent white – voters whom Sanders has consistently won in nominating contests this year. That includes 1,243 pledged delegates and 469 unpledged delegates, or superdelegates.

Trump is the favorite in the next primary on April 19 in his home state of NY. But three-quarters of Democratic voters say Clinton has realistic policies. Coleman also said he’s skeptical that a win for Sanders will givehim momentum in upcoming states.
His Wisconsin win – his sixth out of the last seven states – essentially denies Clinton the ability to quickly pivot to the general election and exclusively focus her attention on the GOP, forcing her instead to continue slogging it out with Sanders through the next batch of East Coast primaries this month.
With 59 percent of precincts reporting, Sanders led Clinton 55.8 percent to 43.9 percent in Wisconsin.
Sanders had 1,011 total delegates – 980 pledged and 31 unpledged – heading into the primary. They are trying to deny him the majority of delegates and force a contested convention in July.
Robby Mook, Clinton’s campaign manager, responded to Weaver, saying that the campaigns need wait and see what happens with the delegates. Clinton is leading in polls there, where both candidates have ties.
When Hillary Clinton lost MI in one of the greatest political upsets in American history, only 58% of Democrats reported feeling that she was honest and trustworthy.
Sanders was beating Clinton among men, voters ages 18 to 44, and college educated voters. “I think that’s the problem”.

Though Sanders’ campaign turned the check in on time, local Democrats informed the D.C. Board of Elections the next day – after the deadline had passed.
