Ted Cruz’s speech at the Republican National Convention did not go over well with one of the party’s most prominent donor’s – billionaire Sheldon Adelson. The margin between the two candidates is the smallest since May.

The poll marks a major upsurge for Trump who trailed Clinton by as much as 10 points before Republicans gathered in Cleveland to officially nominate Trump and his vice-presidential pick, Mike Pence.
Trump spoke of America being on the decline (thanks in no small part to Hillary Clinton), in a move past Republican nominees would have frowned upon.
While the newly minted nominee said the GOP is behind him, his convention featured a noisy floor protest Monday by anti-Trump delegates over convention voting rules.
After it became clear Cruz would not be throwing his endorsement behind Trump, delegates gathered Wednesday night in Cleveland’s Quicken Loans Arena began booing the one-time presidential hopeful until he concluded his remarks and exited the stage.
Trump will end his speech with an emotional appeal to parents, casting himself as the champion of future generations.
“I thought it was terrific the way she came forward and just said, look it was a mistake that I made”, he added. As for Cruz’s father, Trump cited a National Enquirer story linking Cruz’s father to Lee Harvey Oswald.
“If the RNC wanted to project an image of unity, that ended last night”.
The Republican presidential nominee also says he won’t let United States companies relocate to other countries – laying off workers in the process – “without consequences”.
Trump held forth in the freewheeling morning event, dredging up past arguments with the Cruz team, including attacks on Cruz’s wife and father, at a time when attention was shifting Friday to the general election and Democrat Hillary Clinton’s anticipated announcement of her vice-presidential pick.
She watched the speech in the box reserved for Trump’s family, accompanied by her son, Barron, the youngest of Donald Trump’s children.
I know one thing for sure.
“OK, so they sent out the first picture”, Trump said of the anti-Trump group. She said Cruz should have endorsed the ticket as he pledged to do as a candidate in the GOP primary.
Trump walked on stage after receiving a passionate introduction from his daughter Ivanka.
