Top RNC strategist to work more with Trump campaign
Mr Moran was joined at the event by his Democrat counterpart Jason Boxt, who agreed that Mrs Clinton will be the one to enter the White House after the November election, becoming the country’s first female president. Clinton’s message to Trump – accompanied by a video compilation of Trump’s comments – came after the real estate magnate on Saturday said at a North Carolina rally that he regretted saying things that “may have caused personal pain”. Manafort wound up running the campaign, but took criticism over continuing Republican opposition to Trump and complaints about the candidate’s undisicplined style and repeated attacks on GOP critics. “You can get rid of Manafort, but that doesn’t end the odd bromance Trump has with (Vladimir Putin)”, he said.

But the Clinton campaign pounced on Manafort’s resignation in an attempt to fan accusations of nefarious pro-Kremlin influence on the Trump campaign after the outgoing chairman was named in a Ukrainian corruption probe.
Spending was more lopsided: $34.5 million by Clinton, $7.8 million by Trump.
But the NY businessman, who has never held elected office, has also been embroiled in a series of controversies in recent weeks and has lagged Clinton in opinion polls.
WASHINGTON, Aug 17 (Reuters) – U.S. Republican presidential candidate Donald Trump’s campaign chairman, Paul Manafort, helped a Ukrainian political party with close ties to Russian Federation secretly move at least $2.2 million to two major Washington lobbying firms, the Associated Press reported on Wednesday.
The AP, citing sources with direct knowledge of the effort, said the transfers were set up in ways to obscure the Ukrainian party’s attempts to sway US policies, using a nonprofit organization to distance funds from Ukrainian politicians. “They’re not necessarily offering a counter-argument”, said Chris Lehane, a Democratic strategist who worked in Bill Clinton’s White House.
Conway said she didn’t want Trump to lose his “authenticity”.
The White House run of the controversial and outspoken real estate magnate, who has styled himself as the enemy of traditional politics but paradoxically is now the presidential nominee of the most traditional USA political party, is beginning to take on a quixotic tinge. John Podesta has not been with the firm for several years, but his brother is its chairman.
Manafort, a longtime Washington fixture, was originally brought on in the spring to save Trump from a defeat at the Republican convention should Trump have failed to win enough delegates to clinch a first-ballot nomination.
But even without the reshuffle, Manafort’s ties to the pro-Kremlin Yanukovych became a distraction as Trump spoke admiringly of Putin and even sensationally suggested that Moscow should hack into Clinton’s emails.
Manafort has denied any wrongdoing. But it said in a statement that it could not be certain that Manafort ever actually received the money.
Trump, who has never held elected office, did not refer to his staffing changes, but in an interview earlier on Friday his son Eric Trump said unflattering headlines about Manafort had taken a toll.
“No group in America has been more harmed by Hillary Clinton’s policies than African-Americans”, Trump said Friday afternoon in Dimondale, Michigan, just outside of Lansing. That work included efforts to counter a potential congressional resolution pressuring Yanukovych to release a political rival from prison, the AP reported.
Gates, who also works for the Trump campaign, told the AP his actions were lawful.
