Tornadoes in the USA and high winds in Ontario
The authorities on Saturday recovered the body of a five-year-old boy who drowned after the vehicle he was riding in was submerged by floodwaters on Friday, said Coffee County Coroner Robert Preachers. In Tennessee, clobbered by multiple twisters, state Emergency Management Agency spokesman Dean Flener confirmed two storm-related fatalities in Perry County – one male and one female of undetermined age.

At least 11 people were killed in Mississippi, Tennessee and Arkansas as storms mixed with unseasonably warm weather spawned Christmastime tornadoes from Arkansas to MI.
At least 40 people were injured in the state, Governor Phil Bryant said, as he issued a state of emergency that will allow local governments to request aid for recovery.
The South normally witness peak tornado season in the spring, but experts said that such storms can happen at any time.
Temperatures across the South and up the East Coast were unseasonably warm as the worst of the storms passed.

There are reports that one large tornado touched land in MS and travelled 100 miles to Tennessee.
To the south, in Atlanta, one interstate was jammed with traffic after a mudslide clogged a storm drain on the shoulder, CNN affiliate WSB reported.
Lahon Curry told NBC affiliate WMC that a tornado destroyed his Marshall County home with his mother and sister inside, but fortunately no one was hurt.
Parts of MS remain under flood warnings, with a strong storm crossing the state expected to produce hail and winds of more than 65km/h.
It started in northern MS & did not lift up until western Tennessee.
High temperatures were reported as far north as Saint Anicet in the Canadian province of Quebec, which hit 21C.
