CTV News has confirmed that a man found dead outside his Toronto apartment on Sunday was a sergeant in the Canadian Forces.

It is not clear if either the man or woman were injured before they plummeted to the ground. Both were residents of the apartment building, and police say the two appeared to have a “relationship” of some kind.
Police have identified the pair as Precious Charbonneau, 33, of Toronto, and Robert Giblin, 43, of Toronto and that the two knew each other.
“The loss of any soldier is devastating to the military community”, DND spokesperson Lonny Kates said in an emailed statement.
He joined the Canadian Armed Forces in 1997, she said, and was deployed to Afghanistan in 2005 and 2007 and deployed to HMCS Regina in 2003.
“Further investigation has led us to believe that there is a relationship that the male and female were in”, said Det.
The deaths of a Canadian soldier who served two tours in Afghanistan and his pregnant wife are being investigated by Toronto police as a possible murder-suicide.
