How much will the Toshiba Chromebook 2 cost?

Display wise, the Chromebook 2 comes with a 13.3-inch, 1080P IPS panel, though as TechReport points out this is bundled inside a 12 inch notebook chassis.

The Toshiba Digital Products Division, part of Toshiba America Information Systems, Inc., unveiled on Tuesday two new refreshed versions of its Chromebook 2. Now available with a 5th Gen Intel Core i3 or Celeron processor and up to 4GB of RAM, these two new Chromebooks deliver better performance for loading content-rich webpages quickly, providing brilliant video playback and effortless multitasking. There’s also an integrated dual-array microphones and an HD webcam.

The Chromebook 2 also comes with a backlit LED keyboard which allows users to work efficiently even in low light environments. Toshiba reckons the Chromebook 2’s battery is good for 8.5 hours of use, and the whole machine weighs a mere 2.9 lbs. (or 1.3 kg). The said processors are known to boost performance so prospect buyers of Toshiba Chromebook 2 can expect the laptop to be faster and snappier than previous models. Entertainment aspects of the laptop have been improved, as well – the new model has front-facing speakers offered in conjunction with audio company Skullcandy. It’s also not bad in terms of connectivity, with 802.11ac Wi-Fi on board, as well as an SD card slot, a single USB 2.0 port, a USB 3.0, and an HDMI out. On top of all this, you’ll also get 100GB of Google Drive storage, 90 days of free unlimited music streaming on Google Play, and a number of other goodies.
