These come with unique mounts, units and creatures, alongside a narrative-driven quest chain for each lord. A few pre-order bonuses are fairly minor but in this game’s case, you’ll get an entire playable race.

Dwarfen Drinking Horn & Stand: Toast your victories with this beautifully decorated drinking horn; wrought with icons and sigils in the Dwarfen craftsman style.

The race pack adds a few of Chaos’ most alarming monsters, which you can see in the screenshots and video below.

Finally, there are two special edition physical releases, with the Limited Edition featuring a metal case and coming with a strategy guide. These Legendary Lords unlock “the corrupted and powerful Chaos Warriors” as your race in the game’s Grand Campaign. Rounding out the package is an art book, a metal case for the game, and a printed strategy guide.

The faction will also have a unique play style in Total War: Warhammer, similar to the ways hordes affected the game world in the Attila installment in the series.

For those who still want to buy the game in non-digital form but aren’t quite as convinced by the canvas map, you can also pick up the Limited Edition that also includes the Chaos Warriors race pack, as well as the insider guide all neatly packaged in the steel book.

Created to look like the Book of Grudges, from Warhammer mythology, the special edition will include a “quality metal” Grudge Ring that also doubles as a dice to use in the tabletop version of Warhammer. With their artillery advantage over the rest of the races, they showed that they aren’t one race to mess with; going head to head with the Orcs, Empire and the Undead.

Total War: Warhammer is a match up of two entities that seemed destined to cross paths at a few point.
