Tottenham ace Alli hoping Wembley can provide home comforts after Monaco defeat
“They only had two shots and like to counter”.

“I wouldn’t want to take anything away from Harry Kane, who had a marvellous season last term, but having the option of a bit more pace in attack would make them a better team. We need to show a different image”.
Tottenham Hotspur midfielder Dele Alli has admitted that he and his teammates have only themselves to blame following their disappointing 2-1 defeat to AS Monaco in the Champions League.
Tottenham manager Mauricio Pochettino criticised his team for a lack of passion in their 2-1 Champions League loss to Monaco.
“They’ve improved but they weren’t easy previous year”.
“We didn’t help ourselves in the first half”, he said. “With two pitches at the training ground we designed the same dimensions as Wembley”. We’re definitely a confident side and we do expect to win games, no matter who is in front of us.
“We try not to find an excuse, that’s never good”.
“It’s true, I was a few minutes from signing for Spurs”, Moutinho told United Kingdom newspapers. “We studied them well and did what the coach asked”.
“We started poorly and they punished us for it”, he said.
“It’s a pleasure to come here every day and I enjoy seeing everyone, it’s like playing football with your mates”. “I’m happy to play anywhere for the team”. “When I was at MK Dons, I played all the games in centre midfield so it’s not like it’s is new to me”.
“Mousa’s a fantastic player, there’s no doubt about that”. “We conceded a goal after 15 minutes that is hard to accept when you play for Tottenham”.
“We must learn & improve. He was very important in the transitional phases of the game”.
It’s hardly a surprise, therefore, that Gooners were in the mood to mock their north London rivals – they certainly weren’t going to miss that opportunity! You see something similar with Liverpool at Anfield, when the home crowd always plays such a big part in European games.

Kane is yet to hit top form this season and has managed just one goal in six games – a tap-in in the 4-0 win over Stoke on Saturday. We need to adapt our game – we need to feel good in White Hart Lane because it’s our home but we need to feel good at Wembley too.
