Gretzky is one of the world’s most decorated sportsmen, and Spurs invited him to White Hart Lane as a guest of honour ahead of the League Cup meeting with Arsenal.
In a pre-match presentation, former defender Ledley King handed over a number 99 shirt to the ice hockey star, but the name was misspelled “Gretsky”.
There was just one problem.
The good news is that Wayne Gretzky was an excellent sport about the whole thing, and took it all in stride. But they probably should’ve at least googled “The Great One” before doing so, because they would’ve discovered his name was spelt with a Z, not an S.
