Tottenham can cope without injured Kane, insists Hugo Lloris

Tottenham Hotspur may have eked out a victory against opponents Sunderland on Sunday, but they have to now tweak deal with another problem as Harry Kane is expected to miss up to two months of Football after suffering an injury.

He said: “For him it has been tough because last season was tough, he came to me in the summer and said “Gaffer, I need your help”.

The South Korean winger put in a good performance in Spurs’ 1-0 win over Sunderland, subsequently being named Man of the Match, and Pochettino revealed after the game that Son wanted a move back to Germany.

Pochettino says “there are different rumors, we can not guess whether it’s eight weeks, 10, four, one”. I’m sure there may be a problem with his ligaments but it’s hard to assess today. “It’s a good opportunity not only to build his body but his fitness and his mentality”.

“It wasn’t a good game for Holland, but it’s true in this moment we realised he was a good signing for us”.

Terry, who was unable to play in last week’s match against Liverpool, is stepping up his rehabilitation of his left ankle, after straining the ligaments in the final minute of the game against Swansea City.

Pochettino praised the England youth global, a left-footed attacking midfielder, who he says reminds him of Barcelona and Argentina great Messi.

“You can see [Vincent’s] qualities”. I can’t think of anywhere better with the fans and the manager we have got here and the young team.

“He looked like it [to be leaving Spurs in the summer]”, Henry said. “Now he needs to be calm, and he has an opportunity tomorrow to compete”.

The hosts put their Wembley nightmare behind them after they were beaten 2-1 by Monaco in which was their first Champions League game in five years.

Centre-back Cameron Carter-Vickers, midfielder Harry Winks and talented winger Marcus Edwards, all Spurs academy products, could be given chances to impress, along with Kieran Trippier, Joshua Onomah and Tom Carroll.

England regular Eric Dier and midfield talisman Mousa Dembele both limped off in the second half with hamstring issues, but Pochettino believes the pair’s withdrawal was due to cramp rather than anything more severe.
