Tottenham closes in on Wembley move: F.A. boss
Around 4,000 seats will be lost at White Hart Lane next season, Tottenham clarified.

It means they will need to spend a year away from their traditional home while work is completed on the new £400m venue.
It’s a stark reminder that the club still have some work to do in keeping their talent. According to Dyke, Chelsea is also negotiating to play their home games at Wembley Stadium as well because Stamford Bridge is scheduled to be remodeled.
The North London side may also play their home matches in next season’s Champions League at Wembley.
While they haven’t come to an agreement about the Spurs playing Champions League games at Wembley next season, Dyke said they are close to an agreement on playing all their home games there in 2017.
Next term’s home Champions League fixtures could also be played there given White Hart Lane’s capacity is likely to be reduced from its current 36,284 to facilitate construction of the new ground. “But on the full season (2017-18), I think we’re quite close to a deal”.
“They are going to demolish the whole thing and build a whole new stadium on their existing site and if they came it would mean them coming for three years”. Dyke indicated to Sky Sports News.
Tottenham confirmed they are looking at where to play European games next season. That kind of money will greatly help grass-roots football according to Greg Dyke.
Football Association chairman Greg Dyke believes Chelsea could play home matches at Wembley Stadium for three years while Stamford Bridge is being redeveloped.
He said: “We thought we had a responsibility to English football, if we can fit them [the clubs] in”.
The London Evening Standard stated that talks are at an advanced stage, and if this is the case, then Tottenham should most likely secure Wembley Stadium before the 2015-16 season is over.

Both clubs have indicated an interest in a temporary relocation to the national stadium and Dyke says it makes sense for all concerned.
