While the Manchester derby, to be played at the end of October, will naturally grab all the headlines coming from the fourth round draw, there is another mouth-watering clash in there as well with Tottenham paying a visit to Anfield to face Liverpool.
The games will be played the week of October 24 and the winners will progress to the quarter-finals.
Liverpool got here by virtue of a 3-0 win at Derby County yesterday. The Blues displayed intent when they outshone Premier League champions Leicester City 4-2 in their third round tie on Tuesday.
Norwich City will travel to Elland Road to face Leeds while Preston, who eliminated Bournemouth, will travel to Rafael Benitez’ Newcastle. The EFL Cup then takes a break for December before the remaining teams face a two-legged semi-final in January.
Sheffield Wednesday also shocked Arsenal’s young guns, while Manchester City, Liverpool and Southampton also made it through.
