Tottenham duo Alli, Dier impress England boss
“So many young players starting the game is a big challenge against a good French team so we have to try and be together and put our game plan into effect as we know it is going to be a tough game”.

Just six and a half months on from helping home-town club MK Dons out of League One, the 19-year-old has established himself at Tottenham and on Tuesday shone for Roy Hodgson’s men at Wembley. Personally I don’t think there is anything to gain from bringing someone in for one game and not looking to the future.
Hodgson said: “He was fantastic”.
“He’s been great for the club this season and now he’s doing it for England as well”.
Alli has been something of a revelation in the Tottenham midfield this term and he has repaid Mauricio Pochettino’s faith by forming an effective partnership with Eric Dier – who was also involved in tonight’s friendly at Wembley.
“First, most importantly, we got the win and then thankfully I got the goal with it”.
“Now it’s quite a while until we meet up again with the England squad and we have just got to go back and keep performing for our clubs”.
“I put a lot of trust into him and he puts a lot of trust into me”.
“I think it’s a great thing for the manager, you know?”
The starlet has scored two goals in 16 appearances since returning to White Hart Lane in the summer.

Alli was expected to sign for Liverpool in January 2015 (we scouted him here) but surprisingly signed for Tottenham instead.
