Tottenham Hotspur and Chelsea play out goalless draw at White Hart Lane

Mauricio Pochettino has hailed his young Tottenham side, claiming they can beat anyone in the Premier League, as per Miguel Delaney.

Former Arsenal players Paul Merson and Charlie Nicolas agreed with Liverpool legend Phil Thompson and Southampton icon Matt Le Tissier that Spurs will finish above the champions in the final standings.

While an encouraging win in the Champions League midweek could spark some confidence in the Blues dressing room, Jose Mourinho will know that a devilish trip away to Spurs is the last thing his side needs right now.

Drogby bagged 164 goals and won 12 prestigious trophies as part of the Chelsea team, many of which were won under Mourinho’s management.

“But for a top player, they’re not happy”.

Hazard says he persuaded Mourinho to play him centrally in last week’s win over Norwich, but the Portuguese believes the 24-year-old is more effective on the left wing, where he was deployed to devastating effect last term. Last season we scored a lot of goals in the last minute so that shows just how fit we are.

Jose Mourinho dropped his disgruntled main striker Diego Costa for Chelsea’s Premier League visit to Tottenham Hotspur on Sunday but the champions still proved toothless up front as they ground out an undistinguished goalless draw at White Hart Lane.

“I was looking for the victor, but without him”, said Mourinho, who sent on Kenedy and Ruben Loftus-Cheek in the dying moments of the match.

“We’re in a good position and, come the new year, if we’re still up there, then we can start thinking about that”. So for me a number 10 is a very special player in my team.

“The message to every one of my players – not (just) Diego, to every one of my players – when we play as a team and when, especially, we defend as a team, the team is much better”, Mourinho added.

Chelsea captain John Terry was also absent after failing to recover from the ankle injury he picked up during the 4-0 victory in Israel.

The home side never hesitated to take Chelsea head on when having home pitch advantage and this is the ideal time to play offensive football.

“I think playing the way we played, I wouldn’t be surprised if we didn’t lose one in the next 10 matches”.

Speaking on the Sports Bar ahead of Sunday’s clash, Hazard said: “I think we’re in the mix and certainly our form suggests we’re in the mix”.

“We had the best chances and Lloris was the goalkeeper with the save of the game, so congratulations to them for the clean sheet”.

“It’s going to be a hard game but we just hope that we can perform and give the same energy and commitment as we did against West Ham”.
