Tottenham in talks to sign Vincent Janssen
AZ Alkmaar’s technical director Max Huiberts has denied any bid from Tottenham Hotspur for their star striker Vincent Janssen, as reported by Voetbal International.

However, Arsenal’s pursuit of Vardy has meant they have taken their eye off of their other targets, allowing their rivals to swoop in.
According to the Mirror, the White Hart Lane outfit have agreed to pay the Dutch club a fee of around £12m ($17.4m) to sign the Eredivisie’s top scorer.
Janssen grabbed two goals in as many matches for the Netherlands in the recent global friendlies. The England worldwide scored 25 goals in the league last season, but the team were short of options if their top marksman failed to fire in a particular game.
The Dutch worldwide netted 27 goals in just 34 games last season to make him a much sought-after player, but Spurs believes they are at the head of the queue and will land him for £12m. His rise to prominence has been meteoric, and has seen him become one of Europe’s most sought-after young prospects. To be realistic the big Dutch clubs can not afford me. Atletico Madrid and AC Milan had previously both shown interest in Janssen, but he seems to have favoured a move to the glamour of the Premier League and will have been lured in by the prospect of Champions League football, too.

With the Netherlands not in action at the European Championships this month, any move for Janssen is likely to move quickly and smoothly – especially if a fee has already been agreed.
