Tottenham refuse to put time frame on Harry Kane’s ankle ligament injury
Harry Kane of Tottenham Hotspur is put onto a stretcher after coming off injured during the Premier League match between Tottenham Hotspur and Sunderland at White Hart Lane on September 18, 2016 in London, England.

Though the club would not confirm Kane’s likely length of absence, ankle ligament damage typically requires at least six weeks for recovery, with widespread reports claiming that the England striker will be out of action for a couple of months.
“The most important thing is how you react, and we showed a good reaction. Just before we were in the restaurant talking a little bit and he is in a very good way”, Pochettino said.
We can not guess whether it’s eight weeks, 10, four, one.
However, in the longer run the North London club would miss the services of the England global, who was also 2015/16 Premier League’s top-scorer with 22 goals, as Spurs have crucial Champions League group games and league matches against Manchester City and Leicester City lined up in the coming weeks.
In the 23-year-old’s absence, Spurs could face Manchester City, Leicester City and Arsenal in the Premier League, alongside Champions League Group E opponents CSKA Moscow and Bayer Leverkusen. It compounded a miserable start to the season for new manager David Moyes who has collected only one point from five games.
But after admitting Edwards, who often trains with the first team, could be in the squad for the EFL Cup third-round match against the Gills, Pochettino made the surprising comparison.
“It is hard without Harry Kane, but that is why we signed Vincent Janssen, he is a striker who can give us a lot of things”.
“Vincent arrives in a good moment – he’s ready to compete”, Pochettino said.
“I had one and if you don’t take them, and give a silly goal away, it’s going to hurt you and it’s going to cost you”.
Pochettino confirmed that Eric Dier and Mousa Dembele, who were replaced against Sunderland with hamstring problems, would be assessed but said he did not expect “a big problem” for either, while Danny Rose could return for Saturday’s trip to Middlesbrough.
Pochettino praised the England youth worldwide, a left-footed attacking midfielder, who he says reminds him of Barcelona and Argentina great Messi.

Centre-back Cameron Carter-Vickers, midfielder Harry Winks and talented winger Marcus Edwards, all Spurs academy products, could be given chances to impress, along with Kieran Trippier, Joshua Onomah and Tom Carroll.
