Tottenham’s Star Striker Set For Two Month Lay-off With Ankle Injury
The England global, who scored the victor in yesterday’s 1-0 win over Sunderland at White Hart Lane, had to be carried off on a stretcher following a collision with Black Cats defender Papy Djilobodji.

But now Tottenham manager Mauricio Pochettino is anxiously awaiting the results of assessment of Kane’s right ankle after he was carried off on a stretcher toward the end of Sunday’s game in north London. “Yes, but you know it is only the truth”, Lloris said.
“This is the story of the season and that’s why we need all the players committed to the club”.
Pochettino also lost Eric Dier and Mousa Dembele to apparent hamstring problems against Sunderland, although the Argentine later revealed the midfield duo were suffering from cramp. The South Korean has been in good form on the left wing for Spurs, putting in a man-of-the-match display on Sunday, but did play as a lone striker on occasion last season. “Today it’s impossible to see the times for recovery”.
“Now I think he will have a big opportunity to show his real quality. We feel disappointed because we created a lot of chances in the first half”. Only he needs time to adapt his game to the team.
In recent games, Kane hasn’t looked as sharp as he was last season and given the non-stop exposure to competitive football, his energy levels have comparatively reduced.
“It was tough. He twisted the ankle”, Pochettino said.
“Did the criticism hurt?”
“We made a very good performance”.
“He is in a very good mood”, Pochettino added.
Spurs dominated the match for large periods but were kept at bay by a magnificent performance from Jordan Pickford in the Sunderland goal.
With 25 goals from 38 Premier League games, the 23-year-old confirmed himself as England’s most prolific goal scorer.
“We deserved more, but it was an important three points for us”.
“We came here trying to get something but we were on the back foot from the start”.

“There have been changes”. If he can find the net a couple times over the next two months, Spurs will be plenty happy with his play and the club shouldn’t have too many issues. We will be OK.
