Tottenham star disappointed again after latest setback

Tottenham Hotspur manager Mauricio Pochettino was angry after his side surrendered the lead for the second straight week in a 1-1 Premier League draw at in-form Leicester City on Saturday.

Chances were few and far between and it looked certain to remain goalless but with nine minutes left substitute Alli, a new signing from MK Dons last season, stooped to head Tottenham in front.

Tottenham Hotspur striker Harry Kane has taken to Twitter to voice his disappointment after Spurs’ latest underwhelming result in the Premier League.

Leicester looked perhaps the favourites going into the game against Tottenham, however Leicester couldn’t add yet another three points to their tally; instead they had to settle for just the one.

“It was a dream come true, I wanted to score that first goal and I was so happy to do it but when they scored straight after, it completely killed it”, the 19-year-old told TottenhamHotspur.com.

Spurs have yet to get their act together. However, the ball was not cleared and when Redmond knocked it back into the penalty area, the Norwich skipper this time swept a low shot past the keeper and into the bottom corner for his second goal in as many games.

The Londoners dominated in possession but Marc Albrighton posed a real threat on the break and will have caught Hodgson’s eye with some impressive wing play. The first half was 50/50.

Riyad Mahrez – 8: Clearly man of the match.

Mahrez, who was signed from French Ligue 2 side Le Havre in January previous year, scored his fourth goal of the season for the Foxes, who maintained their unbeaten start to the top-flight season. He seemed to have tried very hard to cope with the ever shaky Tottenham Defense. However, their capitulation after being 2-0 up against Stoke City last week will be a worry for the manager and fans alike.

Despite having big names like Harry Kane, it has been unable to get the points it needs early in the season.

“We are looking (for new players)”.

Tottenham’s Nacer Chadi, left, battles for the ball with…

“In the second half we played much better”.

In my opinion, I don’t think Spurs will make major changes to the side that started against Stoke City. “I think everyone says that we need an offensive player but we need to be more consistent because we conceded a lot of goals last season and scoring wasn’t our problem”.

Algeria coach Vahid Halilhodzic noticed his brilliant form, and called him up at the very last moment – Mahrez made his debut in late May 2014, just before the squad list for the tournament was finalized.
