Tottenham v Leicester City: Defensive lapses a concern for Pochettino

Ranieri will assess his players ahead of the game and insisted he needs to see them with his own eyes.

With Kane one of a number of players rested by Mauricio Pochettino, Tottenham looked to be heading out after goals from Marcin Wasilewski and Shinji Okazaki had cancelled out Christian Eriksen’s opener. “Every time he wants to play, I know him”.

“We’re playing again on Wednesday in the Premier League and then obviously we’ll have to play away from home in a couple of games”.

Manager Claudio Ranieri has done wonders with Leicester this season, but he’s still a bit wary of the Spurs going into today’s big FA Cup tie.

Oxford pulled off the shock of the FA Cup third round with a 3-2 victory over Premier League Swansea.

“Because they started earlier than us”, said the Italian, who could hand a debut to 19-year-old winger Demarai Gray following his arrival from Birmingham this week. It is tough for us and tough for them [Leicester]. “It’s true that Harry Kane is our only proper striker but we can use different players that can play in a second line and help him, like Son and [Clinton] Njie and [Nacer] Chadli”.

He the club’s official website: “We’re devastated not to get the win. The club is in good shape and we have a great future, so I’m raring to go and we’ll see what happens”, he said.

Nathan Dyer conceded the untimely spot-kick having been adjudged to have handled the ball as Danny Rose broke into the Leicester penalty area and Kane, who had not had a chance until that point, emphatically finished to set up a replay. The England U-21 global has had quite a few good games recently but will be worn out and surely Walker will be preferred. But it’s for that we have a very strong squad and we made seven changes.

“Hopefully we can continue working hard, putting in the hard work on the training field and hopefully we’ll keep progressing”.

Mauricio Pochettino has revealed that Mousa Dembele and Ryan Mason are both on the verge of returning from their ankle and knee injuries respectively but will not feature against Leicester City. “If we show after 20 games we’re capable of being in the top four, at the end of the season why can’t we stay in that place with the same players?”
