Tottenham v Manchester City: Toure desperate to bounce back
Spurs manager, Pocchettino will have to cope with his side back-to-back heap of tough games, coupled with poor form. Last weekend the wingers were providing tremendous cover for the full backs the entire game and the central midfield never stopped running. Before that they played in October 2014 and Manchester City won the game 4 – 1.

Yaya Toure will be looking to guide Manchester City to their sixth Premier League win in seven games when they take on Tottenham.
Manuel Pellegrini’s men bounced back with a convincing 4-1 League Cup victory at Sunderland on Tuesday and midfielder Toure has now set his sights on taking all three points at White Hart Lane.
The Spain global was withdrawn from the starting XI after he complained about his injury during the warm-up before City’s 2-1 defeat to West Ham United at the Etihad.
The win have spring plenty of positives for the Blues as four first-half goals ensured they comfortably made it through to the next round of the tournament.
In the meantime, Kevin De Bruyne will deputise in the No.10 role against Spurs, having scored in the win over the Black Cats, while doubts persist over the fitness of Samir Nasri.
Pocchettino and his team need to wake up and up their performance against City to avoid catch up in league table. They won 1-0 at White Hart Lane in May thanks to a Sergio Aguero goal and have only conceded twice in those four matches. Christian Eriksen is fit once again after playing 90 minutes against Arsenal on Wednesday, while Harry Kane will start as the lone striker with Heung Min Son and Erik Lamela likely to start out wide, though Nacer Chadli will also be in contention.
The Spurs have been undefeated in five games since their season-opening loss to Manchester United six weeks ago. This may leave the Lily Whites’ boss with some confidence, as if he can get both of these men firing along side Dele Alli, they’ll look a complete different outfit.

Defence: Pellegrini is expected to be handed a major boost with Vincent Kompany set to return from a calf injury and he could join Nicolas Otamendi in the middle of defence.
