The heartwarming YouTube video of a French father’s discussion with his toddler son about the November 13 Paris attacks has gone viral on social networks including Facebook and Twitter.
Father: “See all the flowers?”
“But there are bad guys, Daddy!” the boy says.
Be ready to tear up as you watch this eloquent little boy speak and his father comfort him in the best way he knows how. That is because France is their home, according to The Times. They have guns, Daddy.
The little boy and his father were interviewed by a reporter as they visited a memorial outside the Bataclan concert hall, where 89 people were gunned down by jihadists on Friday night.
In the interview, conducted in French, the reporter asked the boy if he understands what has happened and why people did what they did.
Angel Le and his son Brandon were speaking to Le Petit Journal. Le then reassureed his son, as the camera continued rolling; he said they would not move because “France is our home”.
“But flowers do nothing”, comes the response, to which Dad replies that the flowers are there to fight against the guns. Parisians paid their respects to those who had been killed by laying flowers and lighting candles. “The candles too?” “There you go”, his dad says.
The video was posted to Facebook on Monday and now has over 10.9 million views.
After a minute-long interview, the reporter then asked the boy if he feels better.
His father patted him on the head and said: “Don’t worry, we won’t have to move”.

“My family and I embrace all of you”, he added.
