The report mentioned that the relationship “between the keeper and his new boss have been frosty since day one” as the Spanish mentor is expecting a lot more than what Hart had displayed during training.

Claudio Bravo is reported to be close to joining Pep Guardiola’s Manchester City.

“I prefer it if he stays there training and focuses on the next game”. The departures of Grzegorz Krychowiak and Kevin Gameiro mean the club are in a rare position to invest, although it would be a surprise if they were capable of matching Hart’s wages.

Any such move would result in the 29-year-old having to compete for the No 1 spot with highly-rated Germany worldwide Ter Stegen.

Pep Guardiola has signalled the end of 29 year-old Joe Hart’s Manchester City career.

“Toure is training unbelievable, but I was not sure he was going to play so I would prefer him to stay in Manchester”, the City manager told reporters on Monday.

Manchester City, who are featuring in their first-ever Champions League play-offs, finished fourth in the Premier League last season and the team’s consolation prize is a qualifying play-off berth. “The most important thing for me is to enjoy this game and that I keep improving”. “I would like them to go to the stadium and for them to think wow, I like how they play”.

The 40-year-old said: “We saw City play Sunderland and have all the information to play football well and achieve a positive result”.

“There will come matches with more risk – this was the first match and we were all adapting”.
