Tower Of Terror Movie In The Works
However, they’re throwing one more into the development mix, although it’s a theme park ride that they’ve actually previously turned into a film: Tower of Terror. The park ride itself combines footage and narration to create a Twilight Zone-style experience for the viewer, with the “elevator car” of the ride taking a sudden and lengthy fall before climbing back up. The ride is armed with the backdrop of Rod Sterling’s classic anthology series The Twilight Zone and tells the story of the mysterious disappearing of guest from a hotel elevator.

There shouldn’t be a big drop off from the kid-friendly 1997 movie.
The story’s premise, according to Deadline, revolves around five people inside an elevator at the Hollywood Tower Hotel from a treatment by John August and producer Jim Whitaker. Pirates of the Caribbean was pretty cool, but I don’t know if I can trust you.
Still, anyone who has ridden the ride will instantly think a new Tower of Terror movie would have that “Twilight Zone” seal of approval.

“Tower of Terror” rides are located at Walt Disney World’s Hollywood Studios, Walt Disney Studios Park in Disneyland Paris, Disney California Adventure in Anaheim, and Tokyo Disneysea. There has been a Tower of Terror movie made in the 90s starring Kristen Dunst and Steve Guttenberg, but that film wasn’t the hit that Disney was hoping for.
