However, a representative from Disney has failed to confirm Arquette’s reprisal in the movie.

According to The Wrap the Nightmare On Elm Street 3 star will play a laid back woman who just happens to be a hippie.

John Lasseter is directing “Toy Story 4”, for which Tom Hanks and Tim Allen will reprise their roles as cowboy Woody and spaceman Buzz Lightyear. Trust members Pete Docter, Lee Unkrich and Andrew Stanton developed the story before handing it to Rashida Jones and Will McCormack to write the script. Toy Story 4 is taking aim at a June 15, 2018 Stateside release, but doesn’t have a confirmed playdate with United Kingdom cinemas yet. And Patricia Arquette is in talks to take on the role.

Vulture reports that the story for the next installment is less of a sequel and more of an individual story that revolves about romance and comedy. If rumors are true, then this is the first time that the toys will be in search for one of their own not because it has something to do with their owner, but because it has something to do with love.

It was also mentioned by Woody Bo Peep and her sheep were sold along with Wheezy, Lenny, and other toys.

ScreenRant further notes that it’s a lucky thing that the movie will feature another story, rather than it being a sequel since expectations are getting higher. As with previous films this reeks of a message around family, friendship and loyalty and there has been a few talk amongst fans that the studio is dragging out a storyline that should have ended with “Toy Story 3”. Toy Story 4 is also expected to bring back Don Rickles as Mr Potato Head and Annie Potts as Bo.
