“It’s something we’ve never done with Toy Story before [a love story]”, Lasseter added. The only hint he gave was that this spinoff would be a “love story”. He said each movie in the franchise had explored different genres and this time, they will dive into the romance between Woody (voiced by Tom Hanks) and Bo Peep (voiced by Annie Potts). It turns out…..yes, that’s exactly what it is.
“I wanted to know that if this charming forgetful fish ever got lost again, that she would be okay, that she would find her way home”, Stanton said, as per Entertainment Weekly’s report.
“Toy Story 4” is being directed by Lasseter alongside Josh Cooley who recently helmed the critically-acclaimed “Inside Out”, based on a script by Will McCormack and Rashida Jones. “That’s our rule. We don’t do things just to print money”, he told CNBC.
There has been a whopping five years since the last “Toy Story” movie, so the upcoming “Toy Story 4” is highly anticipated among fans of the franchise.
While a lot of the news out of Disney’s D23 Expo this weekend has been dominated by superheroes and Star Wars, the company also offered an update on Finding Dory, Pixar’s Finding Nemo sequel.
John Lasseter’s life with Toy Story has become an unforgettable experience for him and everyone who watched.
Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson greeted Disney fans at D23 Expo to talk a bit about this Disney film about a teenager in the South Pacific. Woody and Buzz head out to find Bo.
