It is offered in four variants, namely, Zx (7-seater) automatic, Gx (7-8-seater) automatic, Vx (7-seater) manual and Gx (7-8-seater) manual. “Although the launch is for all India, it has been brought mainly with a view to address consumers and dealers in Delhi-NCR, where we have not been selling the MPV for the last eight months”, Toyota Kirloskar Motor (TKM) Director and Senior Vice-President (Sales and Marketing) N Raja told. The 2.7-litre unit (Codename 2TR-FE) is the same engine that powered the previous-generation Innova petrol in some global markets like the Middle East. Unlike the previous-generation Innova, Toyota isn’t offering a CNG option with the Innova Crysta.
Often referred to as the segment creator, the brand Innova has proved itself again by being the first in the segment to offer a vehicle with a petrol variant. “We are confident that the new petrol variant of the Innova Crysta further reiterates Toyota’s commitment to the Indian market and will add to customer delight”. We have already sold more than 24,000 units in a short span of two months and have a pending order of over 9,000 units for the Innova Crysta. The vehicle comes with Eco and Power drive modes.
