Track Santa’s Journey to the Carolinas
As technology has advanced, there have become more and more ways for children to keep track of Santa, and this year updates will be posted throughout Christmas Eve on www.noradsanta.org as well as the Facebook page www.facebook.com/noradsanta and the Twitter page at www.twitter.com/NoradSanta. Thankfully the NORAD Santa Tracker has the answer. Last year, hundreds of volunteers, including many NORAD employees and Michelle Obama, fielded 135,000 calls from 234 countries. Thanks to the advent of the internet, it’s easier than ever to follow Santa on his rounds.

For those, who do not wish to use Google’s website, the company is offering its Android app with Chromecast support so that you can watch Santa on the big screen.
NORAD has video of Santa flying all over the world.

So on Christmas Eve, before making his world-wide sleigh ride, Santa himself came to visit.
NORAD s involvement began 60 years ago when a wrong telephone number printed in a newspaper advertisement resulted in children calling for Santa.
That is where the North American Aerospace Defense Command, or NORAD, comes in.
“You may not know that my mom has been trying really hard to take care of me”, read one card.
These activities are in support of the NORAD Tracks Santa Operations Center at Peterson Air Force Base, Colorado, which leads the Santa monitoring effort.
And they scattered in their red and green suits to the mail room, present wrapping counter, naughty and nice station, toy factory, candy land and reindeer stable.
“We don’t know how much more time we have left with Caroline”, Janna Lopez said through tears. Its website spells out this critical mission although it neglects to mention that it also tracks Santa Claus.

Google’s service on Wednesday offered a glimpse into the behind-the-scenes preparations for Santa’s flight, along with Christmas traditions around the world. Parents urge kids to go to bed and let visions of sugarplums dance in their heads, lest he arrive to find them awake and dash away to the next house without stopping. The apps can be set to eight different languages: English, Spanish, Dutch, French, Italian, Portuguese and Chinese.
