Tracking Santa’s journey on Christmas Eve is easy
“Based on historical data and 60 years of NORAD tracking information, we believe that Santa Claus is alive and well in the hearts of children throughout the world”, the website reads.

On Christmas Eve, you can track Santa’s location here.
Live tracking is available here for Google and here for NORAD.
According to NORAD, the Santa Tracker started in 1955 after Santa’s phone number was accidentally listed in a catalog as the number to NORAD’s predecessor, the Continental Air Defense Command (CONAD).
It turns out, a local department store had placed an advertisement in the newspaper encouraging children to call Santa – but the number had a typo.
In 2015, NORAD Santa Tracker volunteers answered more than 141,000 phone calls from kids asking about Santa’s whereabouts on Christmas Eve. “Santa followers just need to type “@noradsanta” into each search engine to get started.
As we approach the later evening hours, we should get different alerts from NORAD as Santa travels through Afghanistan, Egypt, France, Germany, and the Netherlands.
Postal Service employees make every effort to make sure children get a personalized answer to their letters to Santa, but when the workers at the Morningside Post Office opened one such letter from a little girl, they made a decision to mark it priority.
“I gathered up all the kids I could so we could run up here and just attack and love Santa”, Gray said. Not wanting to crush the spirits of children, then-colonel Harry Shoup told his colleagues to play along and provide callers with Santa’s exact location.
Google’s Santa Tracker finally went live today, allowing anyone with Google Maps installed on an iOS device to keep up with Santa’s journey across the world in real time. In the air, Rudolph’s nose can be seen by satellites and used to track the jolly one’s minute-by-minute position.
Santa’s Toy Box is a Santa bot you can use to find the best toys – or at least that is what it claims to do.
Why do so many children call?

This means you can make sure the kids are firmly tucked up in bed long before he tumbles down the chimney.
