Tracy Morgan Returning To Saturday Night Live As Host In New Season

As a former cast member, Tracy Morgan earned acclaim for his seven seasons on SNL and was Emmy nominated for his role on the award-winning comedy series 30 Rock.

In that auto accident on a New Jersey highway, Morgan broke bones in his leg and nose, as well as several ribs.

The actor and comedian will host the October 17 episode, NBC announced via press release on Monday. He spoke emotionally about Jimmy McNair and said his career was on hold. This will be the second time that he will be hosting “SNL“.

Finally, Tracy Morgan will host the October 17th episode as part of his first performance since a six-car accident previous year that left him in critical condition. It’s reported that the driver was pressured into staying awake for 24 hours by Walmart, and Morgan and others involved in the crash sued the company for negligence.

Last month, the 46 year old gave an emotional account of the harrowing experience on NBC’s “Today” show to Matt Lauer, wondering at one point whether he was ever going to “be amusing again”. Which celebrities would you like to see host an episode of SNL this fall?

Following the announcement of his appearance, the 46-year-old comic tweeted: “Stoked to be going home”.

Cyrus is set to kick off the season as the host of the series’ October 3 outing, while Schumer will serve as the night’s emcee on Saturday, October 10.

But let’s not step on the real story here – Tracy Morgan is coming back to SNL.
